Paul, I know my advice dosen't amount to a hill o fbeans and you won;t see it to be any good anyway but I think your are right on, you have already put in a fantastic performance, no need to risk it all in the end. You'll know about David Derrick but the time you read this - that is really too bad - ahte to see you have to push the end and end up in the same situation. Ride on and be proud !!!

Safety is always a good choice. Much better to have an extra couple hours at the end than not being able to stay awake, needing a nap and DNFing by a minute. You've done a heck of a ride. Now's not the time to be greedy.
